I have been involved in child care since I was in my teens. I nannied my first two children at 16 years old and was with them for four years. As a high school student I was a volunteer tutor with students ranging from grades k-12, it was a program called Rosie's Garage. The city had taken a run down vacant home in a low income neighborhood and renovated it so we could use it as a tutoring center. I have a 14 year old daughter of my own and live being a mother. Once she began kindergarten I went back to school and got certified as a Medical Assistant, both clinical and administrative. I still need to recertify my certificates though because we moved up here to help family, I have worked with Blue Ridge both in the elementary school and just recently the high school as well as Read more a kitchen staff member. So being around children is my normal, it's what I like to believe I'm very good at. I've always loved watching my nieces and nephews and am considered the fun aunty.
