I am a Youth Care Specialist at a group home for girls ages 7-17. These girls have been removed from their homes and are waiting to go back home, be placed in foster care, or adopted out. I carry them all under my wings and in my heart. This is my calling. I want to be a constant in their lives, that one adult whom will never leave them. Aside from this I also help take care of my brother in laws five adopted children. I am CPR/First Aid trained, but better than that I have a Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card. It is the best background check you can get and you must have this to work with children in my occupation. Having this can hopefully comfort the individual whom hires me. My children and I do a lot of volunteer work, Mostly with the homeless such as at Read more St. Mary's, but our preferences are anything involving children, here lately we spend many hours at Feed My Starving Children. I am looking for occasional weekend babysitting jobs to supplement my income. My 14 year old son just finished ninth grade. He is also attending college. Our goal is for him to have an Associates degree in Engineering by the time he graduates high school. I am great with children so I would like my part time work to be involved with what I do and know best.
