Hello! My family and I have recently moved to Mesa, Arizona from Huntsville, Alabama, where I taught preschool/pre-K full-time. I am a kind, loving, and patient caregiver, who would love to take care of your child. I am trustworthy, and understand firsthand just how difficult it can be putting your faith in someone to take care of your most special loved one(s)! I genuinely love working with children-their energy, their imagination, curiosity, desire to learn and play-working with children has been the single most fulfilling job I have ever held! I would love to take care of your child, providing them with a loving, happy, and attentive caregiver who would help to make the transition from parent to myself as easy and seamless as possible. I will have my happy, friendly, and well-behaved 13 month-old son with me as he has not yet gone to nursery-school. I am more than Read more happy to watch your child at my house if that makes things easier for you, and I do have a clean, safe and reliable vehicle/driving record to do pick-ups/drop-offs as well. I am available from 7AM-7PM Monday-Friday with my 13 month-old son in tow, and all day Saturday. A little bit of background on myself: I am a certified teacher in Curriculum and Instruction for Secondary Art Education and Spanish. I would love to work with children on their homework or difficult school subjects to help make it enjoyable and get it out of the way, or to make some amazing art projects and crafts! If children just want to relax and play, that sounds great too. If I watch your child during the day, I am also open to implementing a preschool curriculum for your child, including Reading, Writing, Math, Art, Science, and Physical Activity(play), we can work together to focus on whatever subjects you'd like, or we can do them all. I played many sports growing up, so I would also jump right in with outside play/activities, and I am an animal lover in case you have pets. I have been babysitting for over 16 years for family and friends, I have taught Preschool for over 3 years, and I student taught for a year before that in the public school system.
