Hello Parents! I am a 20 year old college student at ASU, but taking care of and teaching kids has been my passion before I even got into middle school. I have always loved taking care of my cousins as I was the first born in the family and there were always so many kids running around or needing to be changed at my grandmother's house. As I grew older I started officially babysitting for my mother's friends. I used to live in Egypt before I moved here so I found jobs through word of mouth. I am extremely good with kids, it's like second nature to me, which is why for every family I've stayed at I was referred to three others. I have incorporated that ideology in my methods when I take care of the kids because it makes them enjoy their time more with me. This method focuses on adjustment, guidance, and setting a good example instead of punishment. I have worked at a nursery as well as at multiple summer camps for ages 1.5-4 and 4-12. I don't see babysitting or caretaking as a job for pay, I genuinely enjoy it! I am fluent in English and Arabic and love to read stories because they take the children into this imaginary world where anything is possible! I could play games, paint, or even make cookies with the children if they are old enough, anything active and engaging rather than staring at screens all day. I could help out with homework or tutor them for certain subjects in school. I also have a car and could take them to any appointments, practices, or anywhere needed during the day. I also work with infants and love love love babies. I would never get bored just sitting on a chair with a baby playing peek-a-boo. Obviously feeding, bathing, and changing are a given. Don't worry I will put the baby to sleep and stay alert for you guys to go out and enjoy your night out. When the kids are asleep I can make breakfast, lunch, and dinner as well as help clean around the house. I could also do laundry and take care of making the beds and organizing the living room or play areas. If the kids go to a nursery or school I could drive them and pick them up. I could also run errands or go grocery shopping while they are there. Honestly, I could do just about anything. I have been doing this for as long as I can remember and I would absolutely love to be welcomed by your family!
