Hello! I am a recent biology graduate from UC Merced, and am originally from Los Angeles but now reside in Peoria! I grew up watching my cousins, friends' siblings, and I have two younger brothers, so childcare is in my DNA. I come from a big family on both my mom and my dad's side, so I am quite comfortable in any situation requiring being around lots of children and adults. I am an avid reader, a swimmer, and I love the outdoors. Hiking is probably my favorite form of exercise, but I also played competitive softball for most of my life, so I am never afraid to play a game of catch. In my spare time when I am not working, I am a freelance photographer and editor. I love cartoons (especially the classics like The Jetsons/The Flintstones, Scooby Doo, Dora the Explorer, etc), but I value interactive activities Read more like reading, creative art, board/card games, outdoor activities, and learning the world around you above technology when dealing with the young ones! My recent childcare experience was last summer (2024) where I had the opportunity to be a Nature Director at a sleepaway camp in Massachusetts. My main job was to teach kids about nature and science, but during the off periods I was tasked with watching over 100 kids aged 7-17 (along with many other staff members). I am certified in adult, child, and infant CPR/First aid. If you were to ask any of my family or friends, they would tell you that I was born to take care of children. They are the best thing about this world, and as adults, we have the most impact on who they become. I would feel so blessed to be a part of any child's life, and sow into them the way my family and the loving adults in my life sowed into me. I am fun, warm, and I always have good energy! My favorite animals are cows, but I also love dogs and cats and fish. But enough about me....let me know what I can do to help your family!
