Hello families in Sedona! 🌼 My name is Vanessa and I have recently settled back into Sedona after traveling for the last 2 years delivering babies across the country. That being said, here is a little bit about me. For as long as I can remember, my heart has been passionate about serving mamas and babies. They are some of the most tender beings after birth-- so vulnerable. I love holding space for these two new beings to navigate who they are in a supported, non-judgement, regulated home. My journey as a birth worker began in 2016 and has given me the privilege to witness early child development as time has gone by. As a birth worker, I have learned and observed what is normal in birth and when something is off and I need to make suggestions or act quickly. In addition, I have come to trust a mothers Read more instinct/intuition and to follow that despite how ‘normal’ a situation may appear. This also translates to when I work with your children. I not only follow a parent's instincts or a schedule/plan that is set for the child. I also follow the childs' instincts and passions. I love being there for the moments they make new discoveries and to hold their hand as they process big emotions. I am respectful, reliable, and flexible. When I work with your child, my goal is not only to have the "checklist" get done but also for your child to feel seen, valued, respected and loved. It is a joy to witness a child's self-esteem increase, for them to believe in themselves, and know who they are. As a part of your family's team, I aim to create a safe space for children to know they can fail and try again. I want to be there for all the emotions- big, small, intense and sweet. I love cooking with kiddos as they learn how to navigate through the kitchen. I enjoy hiking with them, park days, library days, exploring days. I am trained in neonatal resuscitation and CPR.
