Hi! My name is Trilece, and I am currently an undergraduate student at the University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC). I am a junior, transfer from GCU in Arizona and I am finishing up my bachelor’s here. I am offering child care and or pet care. I love working with children and helping in caring for them. I have a background in childcare, having worked for several daycares over the years, since 2020. I have worked with every age and have been praised for my flexibility and competence with all age groups. The confidence and trust my supervisors had in placing me with any age group is something I hold pride in. My responsibilities have included - maintaining daily routines - ensuring children’s safety and well being at all times - providing attentive, compassionate, and age appropriate care - assisting in transitions between activities, meals, naps, and playtime - maintaining Read more a clean, organized, and safe environment - following cleaning and sanitization procedures - creating lesson plans and activities or crafts - leading and participating in both educational and creative activities and crafts - supporting early childhood development and helping to promote social-emotional learning and cooperative play - encouraging language development through conversation and readings - creating a fun, nurturing, and stimulating environment - communicating regularly with parents and staff about children’s needs and progress - working collaboratively with other caregivers and teachers. I always loved seeing children’s excitement, curiosity, and creativity when doing crafts and being able to see them think, learn, try new things, grow, and create. It’s something that I always see beauty in and that warms my heart to both see and be a part of. For pet care, I am comfortable with dogs and cats. While I previously have not done much pet care, I have my own pets back home in AZ and have assisted my grandparents in care for their pets. I am comfortable with walking dogs, if they are well behaved or smaller, more manageable for someone of my size and stature, as I am only 5’5 and 130lbs; and do not have experience with really big dogs. I am comfortable with feeding, playing, and basic grooming like brushing or bathing. I am comfortable with large dogs if I would not need to walk them. I am comfortable with nearly every breed and I am comfortable with shedding. I am comfortable with both dogs and cats as I have both back in AZ.
