I am a Master of Social Work student at Arizona State University with a concentration in child welfare. I have experience in meeting the needs of children and keeping them safe. I worked as a residential counselor at a behavioral health unit for adolescents. I kept them entertained by playing card games, watching movies, and going on walks, all while making sure they abide by their treatment plans. I also interned at a special needs school where I taught them how to adapt to their environment and cope with their struggles. I was able to work with children with developmental disabilities and I can transfer the skills I have developed in working with children of typical development.
