Hello my name is Liz and I am a very good babysitter, housekeeper and helper. I am currently pursuing a career in nursing because taking care of people is what I do best and what I feel the most passion for. I have a current, valid certification to perform CPR, first aid and AED from the American Red Cross. I volunteer for St. Joseph's hospital at the moment. Helping others in need, taking care of the little ones or the elderly is such a beautiful job to me. They bring out the best in you. I grew up taking care of my two little brothers. I was 10 years old when my first sibling was born, and 15 years old when the youngest was born. I spent my middle school and high school days babysitting for my mom mostly every afternoon. But in addition, I have professionally babysit for several people already. Most were on call or one time emergencies. Which I have references for. But my main babysitting job was this past year. I helped a single mother with 6 kids. Ages, 2, 4, 6, 8, 11 and 13. I provided housekeeping, meal preparation, homework help, grocery shopping, school transportation and all the necessary tasks while the mom worked long hours or unexpected shifts. I also have experience in home care for the elderly. My client was 92 years old with dementia and lung cancer. I met him while volunteering for hospice services in my area. His wife was in hospice care and passed away 3 months later. Their daughter hired me to help out her dad who was being introduced to hospice care as well and lived by himself. I got hired to transport to the doctor, provide housekeeping, cook and take care of his two dogs. I helped with activities of daily living such as, bathing, grooming, getting dressed, walking, standing, and eating. It was such a good experience, being able to provide help and company for someone who had lived a long life and needed an extra hand on their last days.
