I am a stay at home Mum. I'm 55. My girls are now 16 &20. I grew up on a farm in the west of Ireland. I have seen a broad spectrum of personalities with my 9 nephews and 5 nieces, and have now begun babysitting my oldest nephews wee ones when I visit, who are 3 and 2. I like to find out who a child is and talk to them, not 'at' them. I believe a kid ought to get to be a kid and I have a good reputation in the fort building, story telling, (great at accents which kids of a certain age really like) and reading realms. I play the ukulele and love music, can carry a tune and make up songs on the fly. I like children to feel safe and comforted. I have being babysitting for 40yrs. I am a firm believer in Read more manners, impressed on a child through example, patience and perseverance. I am very safety conscious, and just took a CPR, EpiPen, choking, etc., refresher course at GolderRanch Fire Station on McGee Jan.10 '20. I have 2 dogs, but, a slight allergy to certain cats. (and a deathly fear of snakes). I have never being unable to settle a baby or failed to get any of my energetic nephews off to sleep. I like to encourage kids imaginations, drawing, telling stories, writing poems etc. I like to have fun with kids, and then (having being a parent), understand the essential process of needing to wind things down for bedtime, and am quite happy to make up a story, sing them off to sleep and comfort them.
