New to Tucson from NYC, I implore you not to hold that against me! Growing up in a large family of 7 children & being the youngest, I learned to become very independent early on. With an entrepreneurial desire to earn money, at age 12 I started to babysit for a neighbor’s 3 children. The father and mother, respectively, were a doctor (internist) and a Principal of a Baptist school. This made me most nervous and as such I wanted to do a great job. With their guidance, I gained confidence in caring for children. And the irony was when their children grew up they babysat for my child! Children are little people that need respect, attention, love and & caring. But, above all I learned sitting is about safety while helping the child(ren) develop to be their best independent self possible. Always, my thoughts/belief had been that you can Read more cut corners financially in all areas of your life except when it comes to childcare. Very seldom can you pay little and get good service or outstanding care — but I am here to tell you, sometimes you do find a real bargain. I may just be your bargain! Although I don’t expect to sell myself cheap, having been a single parent I very well understand the need for good reliable childcare at a manageable rate. I admit I still have the entrepreneurial desire to earn money but am retired and so have no place to be other than there to care for your precious angel(s) if you need. In short, don’t be afraid to request my services under the assumption you simple cannot afford my rate. I am here to work with you. I bring honesty and expect honesty in all things. I am confident your childcare hunt should end here but if you feel I am not your match, I wish you and your little people an abundance of blessings, love & happy hunting. PS - Children often call me Auntie Chrissy but never Grandma! I am retired but not so old!
