Hello! I am currently a student in a masters of Occupational Therapy program, and looking to babysit during my downtime. My experience in babysitting began in my early teens for family members and neighbors. During high school, I was able to work part time as an assistant preschool teacher. After I graduated high school, I was a lifeguard and taught swimming lessons for children ages 1-16 for three years, which was such a blast! I absolutely loved teaching private lessons as well as classes for such diverse groups of children (including those with disabilities). I also babysat beginning my first year of college for a family with two girls, one beginning at age 1 and the other at 4, and continued throughout my undergraduate career. Other part time jobs during my time as an undergraduate student includes being an Instructional Aide for special needs classes as well as a resident Read more assistant for 30, sophomore girls in a dorm building. I also worked as a Behavioral Therapist for a short time after graduating and before I began my masters program. My experience with children is what has directed me to my career path of becoming an Occupational Therapist. I believe doing activities such as playing outside, making crafts, interacting with others, putting together dinner, etc. are all parts of huge steps in learning and growing in a child's life, and I am happy to be a part of those experiences.
