My name is Jessica, or Jess! 22 years old - I'm an energetic, motivated and young individual who is very organized and skilled at balancing the needs of children/parents and/or clients in both personal and professional capacities. I'm also highly effective in fast-paced work environments and challenging situations. I've worked with children many times before in a college environment and at private residences for about 6 years so I know patience and kind heartedness is a must. :) The ages I cared/care for range from newborn to adolescents. I almost have two solid years working with kids with autism and down syndrome at a camp and working as an IHSS provider/caretaker for an 8 year old who has hemimegalencephaly and had undergone a left anatomical hemispherectomy for intractable epilepsy as an infant and has gone through multiple surgeries ever since. I'm a trustworthy individual that has great interpersonal, communication and Read more listening skills - and culinary as well - I follow an all plant based and vegan lifestyle but I have no problem cooking with meat and/or dairy for the family and children. A little bit about myself: My passion is Holistic Nutrition and Special Education. Currently, I'm finishing up my college credits to get my bachelors in nutrition and my teaching credentials. One day, I would love to become a special needs teacher or a dietitian in a school district. Our school cafeterias nowadays are filled with the worst possible food choices for kids, and I believe their needs to be a registered dietitian or nutritionist in each school to help provide healthy and proper nutrition. Also, I always keep a positive and professional attitude on 100% of the time!
