Hello, My name is Mailena, I am 27 years old. All my life I have been caring for children. I am the oldest out of 7 children. Naturally I became their caregiver, since both of my parents worked. I absolutely love children. Right now I currently work at a elementary school (in Palos Verdes) where I work with special needs children. There I provide ABA therapy with mainly autistic children. I spend the whole school day with them. I help them with their assignments, gain social skills, help them become more independent, prompt for functional communication, assist with tantrums (crying, hitting, screaming, self harm, etc), assist them with coping strategies, redirect them back on task, and so on.
