So I am the oldest of 4 and I help my parents all the time with my siblings as the oldest should. It hit me that I enjoy being around kids. Seeing their smile and eyes light up when they are learning or experiencing something new. Than to be the positive adult figure who helped really warmed my heart, so I wanted that as my career. Being a babysitter plays a big role into it as well because being a good one means the parents trust you, the child or children feel safe as well. I am in school right working on my Bachelor’s in child development and also just received my AA in early childhood education. I am not the babysitter that just puts the tv on for the child and do my own thing. I do know a couple of activities appropriate for the child of course.
