  • Has a car

Hi there! My name is Nicole. Thank you so much for taking the time to read my introduction. Let me tell you a little bit about myself. I'm a Christian, single mother. I have two adult children, and one young child with special needs. I worked with Contra Costa County for years as an Eligibility Worker assisting people with obtaining benefits and services they needed in order to live every day life. Two years ago, I chose to terminate employment with the county to care for my youngest child with Down Syndrome. Currently, he is in school, Monday - Friday, from 8 am - 2 pm; Except for Wednesday (he is out at Noon). I'm available for part-time employment in the morning or in the afternoon when he is out of school. If you need care anytime after 2:30 pm, you get two for the price of one. My son Read more is 10 years old, and would be with me at that time. As a parent that has had to depend on others to help care for her children while being employed, I understand how important it is to leave your children in the care of individuals you trust and know your children are safe, loved, and properly cared for. Although, I truly believe only the parents are the best people to take care of their children, I know that is not always possible. No matter how desperate a person may be for child care, they can not and must not leave their child/children with just anyone. When I originally was hired on at the county, my desire was to work in Children & Family Services. However, I realized early on, I would not be able to handle the types of child abuse cases that are very much a reality. I don't understand how a person can abuse a child; especially, their own. A parent's greatest blessing is their child/children. Now that I'm able to stay at home with my son, while he is in school, I want the opportunity to help anyone that might be in need of a loving, caring person to take care for their most precious gift. I pray you find the right fit for your situation. Best Wishes, Nicole.
