About Me Hi, my name is Alexa Vale, and I’m 20 years old. I’ve worked in customer service at Dutch Bros and Chili’s, where I learned how important patience, kindness, and communication are when taking care of people. I’ve also volunteered at my church in the infant room, caring for babies ages 0–3, and I completed a background check during that time. Being trusted with little ones has truly shaped my heart. Why I Chose Childcare After working different jobs, I’ve realized something really important about myself: my heart is with children. Retail and food service just don’t fulfill me the way caring for kids does. Ever since my younger sibling was born, I naturally stepped into that “big sister caretaker” role. I loved protecting them, helping them grow, and being someone they could always feel safe with. That feeling never went away — it’s actually grown stronger over the Read more years. I genuinely love being around kids. I love their little personalities, their curiosity, their honesty, and even the silly moments. Being that person who helps them feel comfortable, cared for, and understood means everything to me. My Vision Moving Forward My long-term dream is to open my own daycare, a warm and welcoming space where kids can learn, play, and feel completely safe. I’m not rushing that step — I want to build it the right way, with experience, patience, and intention. For now, I want to start small by caring for one child at a time. This lets me give that child all of my attention, love, and focus. I want parents to feel at peace knowing their little one is truly being watched, engaged with, and cared for — not just “supervised.” My goal is to create a calm, loving environment where children feel at home, and parents feel confident and supported. Childcare isn’t just a job for me… it’s something I feel called to do.
