Well, for starters, I am a big sister so I grew up always looking after her. I grew up in a really big family and my aunts, uncles, older cousins have had children. So since I can remember, I believe at the age of 13, I was always right there; waiting for a diaper to change, a baby to feed, or to just hold one of the babies. Ever since 13 years of age, my aunts and uncles have always trusted me with their babies and children - even infants. Not only has family trusted me, but I have also been babysitting my old anatomy teachers' children whenever her and her husband want to go out. When I started babysitting the kids, they were 2 and 3. It has been over a year now and she still has me babysit the girls. I have never received any criticism from her Read more or the girls, plus when it is time for me to leave the girls always beg me to stay. On top of babysitting experiences, I have worked with children between the ages of 4 and 13 because I have volunteered in after school programs and as a summer school assistant for a few years now. Over the years, I have dealt with a ton of different children and all of the different personalities, the tantrums, the whole "you're not my mother/father", crying babies, nearly everything you can think of. If babysitting and cleaning paid as much as being a doctor, I would do it. But it doesn't, so I will enjoy my time babysitting children until I become busy with med school. I am a very warm, nurturing person, and I love children. Plus, I LOVE to clean so I always make sure the people I am babysitting for come home to a spotless house (if you don't mind). So I can guarantee you that if you give me the opportunity and privilege to babysit your children, you will not be disappointed.
