Hello! My name is Devin, I'm 25, and the main reason I'm interested in being a sitter is to gain more experience caring for children. In the past few months, I've become more interested in eventually becoming a parent myself, so I've been working to gain the knowledge, skills, and experience necessary to nurture young minds into well-rounded people who are self-aware, kind, resilient, empathetic, and capable. I've been reading books such as "Positive Discipline" by Jane Nelsen, "The Whole-Brain Child" By Daniel J. Siegel, and listening to audiobooks such as "The Gifts of Imperfect Parenting" by Brene Brown to develop a greater understanding of what to expect when raising children, what is developmentally appropriate, and how to adapt to challenges.
