Children are a joy of the world, but we all need time to recollect ourselves. I have 8 years of expansive childcare, babysitting, caregiver and household clean ups. I have worked with various clients, in all ranges of households, with children between the ages of 2 months to 6 years. I started with a young boy (4) with cardiomiapothy at 16, quickly learning his specific needs, (bedtime and day) routines and his own (vast) interests. For two years I spent time each week playing with him & the lovely household pup, indoors and outdoors, even taking care of his medical needs alongside of his summer day camp. Later on I took in the care of a 2 month old, with nightly (4am, O WOW, RESPECT FOR ALL THE MOMMAS!) feedings along with her mother (a close friend) where I took in experience of taking careful care of infants. With who Read more I also took 3 months of infant care classes with soon-to-be mothers at Alta Bates, Berkeley. I have cared for her weekly as well for the past 4 years, growing and learning along with her. I have had experience as a nanny for a 16 month old, with household clean up, constant learning activities, meals, and all around care while her mother worked. I do not have my own, nor thinking about one anytime soon, but I have grown a love for children. It is a key focus of mine to learn with the child about what they like while making the essentials doable. I work a weekly job in a small tax and accounting firm, but most nights are free, and my schedule is amazingly flexible. I am available all throughout the East Bay area. Disclaimer: I am a light smoker now and again, but have never smoked around a child or the household, during childcare, and come from a smoke free home!
