I have been working at my family’a childcare business for 6 years, until I moved away for college. During this time, I took care with a variety of children from ages 6 months to 5 years. This job made adore working with kids, and helped me appreciate being a part of their learning and developmental process! For the past two summers, I have worked with the National Student Leadership Conference. This program is for high school students who are interested in a particular career topic (such as healthcare or engineering), and they participate in 9-day sessions at a chosen university campus to enhance their understanding of the topic. I worked at the Head Team advisor, where I lead a small group of students throughout the program, and took responsibility of the other team advisor and students. I enjoyed this job so much because not only was I working with a Read more new age group, but I had the opportunity to impact so many students in terms of self- discovery, as well as their academic development. Additionally, as the oldest sister, I spent a significant amount of time taking care of my younger siblings growing up whenever my parents were not present. I am currently in school studying to become a pediatric dentist because I enjoy working with kids so much, and I hope that I can be of help!
