Hello! General: My name is Laura, and I am 23 years old. I graduated from UC San Diego with a Bachelors in Communication, which I loved, but I also had the opportunity to take courses on Child Development and Psychology because I was genuinely interested in those subjects. A little bit about myself: I have always wanted to become a teacher ever since I was little because I was so blessed to have so many great teachers and role models growing up, that I wanted to be one myself. Currently, I am working at a law office in San Francisco, but would love to take on babysitting on the side. Experience: I have babysat a lot of different children from a very young age because the adults at my church would trust me to take care of their kids while they hung out with the other adults. Babysitting comes very Read more naturally to me, and I have had a lot of different experiences that further matured my ability to be a caregiver, such as being a volunteer babysitter at a Tri-City Homeless Shelter, a volunteer Preschool teacher for Harbor Presbyterian Church, a tutor for children from Kindergarten to middle school, and an assistant at Elite Educational Institute. Pay rate: I like to keep my hourly rate low because it is not about the money for me. I love spending time with children and helping them instill a sense of self-confidence at a young age because it is so crucial for their development. Also, it is my pleasure to give the parents a small break from their busy lives because God knows we all need a little peace and quiet!
