Why do you love being a sitter? I genuinely enjoy being around kids and creating a fun, safe environment for them to grow and explore. I grew up helping take care of my two younger siblings and spent a lot of time with my younger cousins, so being around children has always felt natural to me. I love building connections with kids, whether we’re doing crafts, playing games, or just having snack time. What experience do you have? I am currently nannying for two preschool aged children. Along with caring for my siblings and cousins, I also volunteered at Arcadia Recreation’s summer camp for a full summer. There, I helped lead games, arts and crafts, and supervised snack breaks, which gave me hands-on experience in keeping kids engaged and entertained in a group setting. What skills and training do you have? I am CPR and First Aid certified through a two-year Sports Medicine program, where I learned how to handle basic medical situations and keep children safe in emergencies. I'm also very organized and responsible—I always make sure things are clean, tidy, and running smoothly. I'm happy to help with light housekeeping and keeping play areas neat, which I know can make a big difference for busy families

Hi, I lead a life focused on creating a positive atmosphere for both myself and those around me. I would consider myself reserved, yet in the right environment my bubbly side shines through. I would consider myself a busy body so schedules and organization have always been a big part of my life. I love to clean and in most cases find it relaxing. Thanks to my mom I love to cook and have a lot of experiences with easy meals that are super delicious. I have a lot of experience working with kids and find that they bring out the bubbly side in me the most. I have experience working as an intern at Pilgrims Preschool from 2018 to 2019. From this, I was able to learn fun activities and the proper ways to teach children from ages 2-4. From 2014-2020 I also volunteered in my church nursery, working with kids ages 0 to 2. I believe teaching and playing through art and nature is a major step in the personal growth of children! During my first nanny job I was responsible for caring for a 1yr old, 3 yr old and 5yr old. I was responsible for getting them dressed and cooking breakfast in the morning. I would then pack snacks and the diaper bag for the days adventure. After the park I cooked lunch and nap time started. During nap time I would clean and do laundry as well as organize anything the parents needed me to. I was also responsible for organizing the children’s schedule as well as looking after the children’s fabulous 99yr old great grandmother. More recently I worked for a 18month and 3yr old (now 3 and 5) and I was their nanny for a year till I started my college journey but I still babysit them frequently and consider them family! My last nanny job was for 8month old twins (now 22 months) and I was with them for over a year part time but I am now moving and I will miss them so much! Over all as a nanny my goal is to make the children happy and the parents lives easier so that they can spend the most time with their kids once I leave. Only the best to come, Olivia

Olivia is a bright light! Very engaging with my 13 month old as well as super responsible, thoughtful, and caring. She's incredibly hard working and has essentially become my right hand in running the household in all daily chores.

Hi there! My name is Jillian, and I am locally based in the Oceanside/San Diego area. I just recently graduated with my B.A. in Sociology at CSUSM & plan on pursing my PhD next year! I’m a free-spirited, joyful person who loves to laugh, read, write, create art, swim in the ocean, enjoy nature, and hunt for unique vintage finds while thrifting! I bring nearly a decade of hands-on childcare experience, working with children from newborns to teens (typically ages 0–14). I genuinely love creating engaging and imaginative activities that help kids learn and grow—whether we’re crafting, reading, exploring outside, or just enjoying a cozy day at home. I also have light experience with Montessori-style caregiving, if that aligns with your family’s values. I’ve worked long-term with several families (5+ years) and would be happy to provide references upon request. I’m comfortable managing larger groups, with plenty of experience caring for 4–6 children at a time. I also have over a year of experience being a “household manager/helper” dealing with more tasks like meal prep, grocery shopping, family planning, errands, laundry, pick up/drop off, light housecleaning & so much in between! If this is of any interest to you, please contact me as well with any questions! I look forward to connecting, so feel free to reach out—I’d love to chat!

Jillian is a blessing to our family. She is so present and engages with my son’s wild imagination. She also is very comforting and the first time my son met Jillian. He fell asleep in her arms just by her reading a book when my nap time routine used to be a cirque de Soleil presentation of rocking and bouncing and singing and patting. Jillian, we are so grateful for you!

I was a teacher for 20 years and have been a full time nanny and tutor for the last 22 years. I have worked with children that have been diagnosed with a form of Autism in addition to taking care of a 4 pound preemie that was colicky and had special medical needs. I have experience tutoring children with A.D.H.D and have worked with very active 16 month old twins. I am physically fit, very active and have an overabundance amount of energy. With my background experience, there is no challenging situation that I cannot master. I am registered with some of the top nanny agencies in San Diego and Orange County. They have performed a full extensive background check and I am registered with Trustline and Live Scan. I am also C.P.R. and First Aid certified and have been for the last 25 years. Most agencies charge an entire's month salary for top quality nannies. I am looking for a part time position with the right family. I have been working with several families that have found me through this site and through referrals. I can e-mail you my resume and several reference numbers if requested. An added note.........Children have always been my number one passion in life. I enjoy presenting them with new, fun and challenging activities. I truly enjoy watching their faces light up when they have finally mastered that difficult task that they have been working on. They have a way of brightening your day when everything else seems to be going wrong. I have been working with children since I was 15 years old. I honestly cannot imagine doing anything else as a profession. I LOVE children! Please consider me if you are truly looking for an exceptional caregiver with LOTS of experience.

We are so thankful to have met Laura! I was very nervous to hire a sitter (after a few historical prior experiences of finding nannies on Facebook); however, Laura was so patient and kind with all my of my inquiries. She provided all of the information I requested, such as background check and Trustline certification (gold standard, which I personally called to verify). After meeting her and checking references, I truly felt at ease. Lastly, and just as important, she is wonderful with the kids. She really is a "career nanny" and it makes a difference. When I say that, I mean that she takes her job very seriously. She is very intentional and focused with the kids. She goes from activity A to activity B to activity C.... vs. just letting kids roam on their own. Laura is extremely hands on and active with the kids. She is worth every penny for both the peace of mind as well and the structured play she provides the kids. We are very thankful to have met Laura!

Caring for children of various ages, personalities, intelligence levels, and health conditions has become a lifestyle for me over the years. Helping young people on a close up and personal basis has provided them with the care they need while providing me with a sense of purpose and intrinsic enjoyment. Helping to raise three children over a 16 year period yielded me many experiences and has equipped me with various skills to include: diapering, bathing, grooming, bottle feeding, cooking, serving meals, light housecleaning, laundry, shopping, lunch packing, scheduling the children's appointments and activities, assisting with homework, driving children to and from school, after school activities, to their doctor and dental appointments, sports activities, and social functions, etc. More detailed experience includes full infant care, potty training, nap and bedtime routines, dispensing medications as instructed by the parents, teaching bike riding, swimming, phonetic reading, playtime at the park and beach, singing songs together, picnics, play dates, instructing children in crafts (such as Easter egg dying), teaching budgeting for children with their allowances, how to write thank you letters, teaching pet care, and how to wrap gifts. Have homeschooled students through grades 1-12 with hands-on teaching as well as establishing a home school with the state of California and overseeing an independent high school study program. Experience prepping middle school and high school students for theater auditions, procuring musical instruments/lessons, and finding instructors for children to expand their skills in such things as surfing, voice training, Cotillion, table manners, dog training, drivers' education, etc. Have planned birthday parties and sleepovers. Attended parent/teacher conferences, volunteered as a teacher's aid, and have assisted with school projects. CPR/first aid certified for 30+ years. Have volunteered as an acting instructor, intern director, makeup artist, and costume procurer, and Crew Manager for children's theater. I especially love reading to children, art projects, and helping them learn to cook and bake the foods they love to eat! Relationship building is key. There is a balance between fun, instruction, and discipline. Sharing life’s experiences, feelings, and ideas builds friendships, as well as mutual trust and respect. And of course, an occasional great big belly laugh does everybody a world of good!

Linda was such a great sitter for my 1 year old son! She came in calmly and he quickly felt comfortable with her, and she followed his routine / cues well so he was able to nap, eat, and play happily. I worked from home while she cared for him.

Hi i’m Hunter and i’m 19 years old from Vista California! I’ve been babysitting since I was about 14 years old on and off. From the age of 14-16 I’ve helped families by watching their kids for date nights or throughout their working shifts as well as taking care of their animals. The age group i’ve watched has been from 3-11 years old. I haven’t sat in awhile due to years of hours a week of competitive all star cheerleading training, school and work on top of all of that so balancing it all was rough but made it through. I am currently enrolled in Palomar college taking classes as well as working as a server at Islands in Vista. I absolutely love early morning hikes, working out, playing with my dogs , yoga and beach walks. I am a very active person, I love to be outdoors and I love to get my body moving at all times!

I bring more than 5 years of professional experience working with children in roles that require reliability, sound judgment, and strong communication. I’m warm, responsible, dependable, and genuinely enjoy spending time with children. I love the joy, curiosity, and laughter they bring to everyday moments, and I find caring for others incredibly rewarding. My undergraduate degree is in Psychology, and I’m also certified in Educational Kinesiology, which focuses on learning through movement and play. I can create play and learning activities to assist your child in the areas of reading, writing, listening, and emotional regulation. For the past 3 years, I’ve worked with elementary, middle, and high school students, bringing hands-on learning activities into the classroom and helping lead high school girls through a three-week summer camp. I understand that choosing someone to care for your children is an important decision, and I take that responsibility seriously. My approach is patient, calm, and attentive. I believe children thrive when they are treated with kindness, encouragement, and respect. I enjoy discovering each child’s individual interests and engaging with them through reading, creative activities, outdoor time, play, and educational activities. Most importantly, when I’m caring for your children, they will have my full attention. I will follow your lead when it comes to household routines, rules, and communication preferences. My priority is for your children to feel safe, happy, and well cared for, and for you to have peace of mind while you’re away. I can comfortably care for up to three children and can also assist with pet care, cooking, carpooling, light housekeeping, crafts, activities, travel, and more. I look forward to getting to know you and your family!
