After attending (and enjoying greatly) an environmental camp when I was younger, I decided to volunteer as a counselor in high school. I really love helping kids learn about the things I believe are important, such as nature, music, and art. Next semester I will be traveling to Chile to study abroad, and I will have the opportunity to start an art therapy program at a school for children. I have worked in a few restaurants, which helped strengthen my interpersonal skills as well as forcing me to deal with emergencies in a pinch. I am currently attending Soka University of America, and am home for the summer with my family, including my two younger siblings who I often looked after while I still lived at home.
