I’m an almost 50 year old mother of 3. I have a 22 , 20 and 14 year old. Up until 2 years ago I homeschooled all three kids. My oldest graduated college with Honors, my middle child currently attends UI and the youngest is about to enter high school (yikes!). Before children, I obtained my Bachelor’s in Child and Family Development from SDSU. I worked 2 years at the Child Development on campus with the infants. After graduating, I was a nanny for 3 years to an amazing family with 2 kids- a newborn and 3 year old. I also taught preschool for 1 year at Bonita Road Christian School and 2 years at Calvary Chula Vista. In the middle of our time homeschooling we also fostered our sweet foster daughter for 2 years. For the last 7 years I have served in our toddler Sunday School class. In Read more 2010 my grandma moved in with us and our family had the opportunity to care for her for 5 years. Four years after her passing, my father was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. Again, we had the joy of caring for him until his passing three years later. In 2021, I begin my first paid caregiving job with a disabled woman in Chula Vista and my friends 98 year old mother. I have enjoyed my time with them greatly. Sadly, my first patient passed away 3 weeks ago. Now that my kids have graduated or are in school, I have the time and opportunity to step back in to the teacher/ caregiver role that I love! I have years of experience and look forward to sharing that with the right family.
