I am a 45 yr old Mom who has successfully raised two wonderful, respectful, confidant, hardworking young men. I am a very down to earth lady that has an indepth knowledge of how little peoples lives are affected and influenced by those around them. I know the value and importance of setting a good example (always!) in the presence of a child, and why play is so very valid. I enjoy the outdoors and prefer to spend my free time with activities such as hiking, camping, backpacking, hunting and fishing. I have prior work experience in the public service sector including; Law Enforcement, the Fire Service, and assisting victims of Domestic Violence. I have received 800 plus hours of training in the field of law enforcement including such topics as communication skills, crisis negotiations, gangs and drugs, drug endangered children, and narcotics recognition just to name a few. I have Read more received an additional 80 hrs of training in peer counseling in the areas of domestic violence and sexual assault and have prior experience assisting families in traumatic situations. My children are almost grown and I am looking for part time work that I enjoy. I am very open schedule wise and can be flexible and accomodating most times. I have a clean driving record, reliable transportation and lots of fun to share with kids. I do need to update my first aid and cpr certifications and will be getting that done fairly soon (hopefully prior to watching your children). I live in the foothills but, am open to commuting to Fresno/Clovis if I am the right fit for your family. I look forward to meeting with you!
