Hi I'm Violet! I am a grad student at UC Law studying Health Policy and Law and I have an extensive background in a variety of childcare services. I started babysitting at 12 years old watching my neighbors' children as well as helping with after-school services at my local elementary school. After many years of gig work, I began long-term nanny care for a young child. I furthered my education in specialized childcare when I was hired at the Center for Social Dynamics and was trained in Applied Behavioral Analysis Therapy to then offer services to low-income families with children on the Autism spectrum. My name is Dr. Jenna Hall and I moved to San Francisco in January 2025 after obtaining my PhD in Melbourne Australia. I have a contract job at UCSF until October 2025. I'll then be back to job hunting and available for daytime babysitting/nannying roles. A bit about me: I am originally from New Mexico where I started babysitting at 12 years old for the neighborhood kids. I moved to Albuquerque for college (Go Lobos!) and continued to find families and babysit throughout my undergrad journey. After completing a degree in Biochemistry I moved to New Jersey and taught high school chemistry through Teach For America, so I learned many fun (and at-home friendly) experiments to run with children! I then spent 4 years at a stem cell lab in New York where I babysat periodically on evenings and weekends through Sitter City (that's where my previous reviews on this site are from). In Australia I found a few families early on through an Americans in Melbourne FB page and Care.com, and I babysat for them throughout my PhD! Ideally that is what I am looking for in San Francisco! I am hoping to find a few families that need a sitter a few times a month for date nights or weekend errands (3-6 hour stints). I'd love to find a family with babies and/or toddlers and be a consistent sitter for you over the next few years! I really enjoy babysitting. All up I've babysat for over 20 years. I've done it in every place I've lived! I am so happy to provide references or have a ~3 hour in person session while you are present and I interact with the children to confirm it's a good fit. I love to be outdoors, explore museums, take walks (although my calves are already burning trying to explore this city!!!), snowboarding in the winter and and playing soccer (although a knee injury in 2023 has kept me from getting back on the field). I do have a car but my partner mostly uses it on weekdays, I usually make a deal with my parents that I'll get myself there if they call me a car home!
