i’m the eldest sibling of 4, my siblings are between the ages of 8-16. Both parents worked double shifts so I was responsible for house chores, meals, laundry, groceries, as well as assisting with schoolwork and entertainment. I’ve volunteered at a one week school camping program as a cabin leader for 2 years. Tasks included putting 5th graders to bed at a specific time as well as waking them and preparing them for the day. Watching over them during daily activities and keeping relationships between one another friendly (and making sure they are learning and having fun of course). Teaching kids responsibilities, cleaning after themselves, and being independent for the week as they are away from home and not with parents.
