Hi! I am. a former Nanny, (for a 2 year old and 5 week old twins for three years during college) turned Preschool and Kindergarten teacher. I have cared for, and taught children my entire career. I only left teaching Kindergarten (I was at the same school for 21 years) because I wanted to stay at home with my own children. I have a very social 3 yr old and an 8 month old. I absolutely love kids and the light they bring to the world. I can't think of any other 'job' that would be more fun! I PREFER to babysit in my home because I have my kids, but also because I'm totally set up here. I have a small designated play area with kids kitchen, train sets, puzzles, play doh, Tons of Sensory Bins, craft projects galore and a backyard with small playset, water table, sand table, Read more art easel and kids 'roller coaster' etc. (I left teaching but it didn't leave me! ;) I can be flexible, but will always have my kids. I am not interested in full time hours, but am looking for one or two consistent days a week or occasional days as they come up. I'm just looking to put some of my teaching skills to use while adding a little income to my Coffee Fund =) I will soon have a newer car that is big enough to help with drop offs and pick ups if that's needed also. I currently take my kids to Preschool library class on Tuesday mornings, park visits, and monthly Art Classes at a small zoo and am happy to take some kiddos along with us if that is of interest. As a teacher I was trained and certified in CPR and First Aid every 2 years. My fingerprints and background check should also still be on file with the school and I'm Happy to provide the school's info and principals name and contact information. I also have more references for parents whose children i taught. (This site only allows 2) I look forward to talking with you!
