Hello my name is Kimeng and I'm originally from Cambodia. Before coming in 2016, I gave my notice at work and had a month free to spend with my family. I was fortunately to take care of my 6 month old niece. While my sister worked in the factory I prepared food, bathed, carried her and walked, and sang for her to nap. During that I time is when I felt happiness and love for all babies. When I came to USA I started working at a grocery store as a cashier and helped my husband with his gardening business. I worked about 1.5 years as a cashier. After a few months it was easy for me to count money, bag groceries, learn all the products and codes, and re-stock the shelves. I enjoyed working at the grocery store but many times i fell in love with the Customer's babies. Read more One day was lucky to meet a customer who owned a home day care center and a pre-school/kindergarten. After a few weeks of meeting her I applied for work with her. I have been working mostly at the home day care center for almost a year. Currently, I and another co-worker take care of 4-5 babies from 5 months to 1.5 years old. A few times I've taken care of 3 babies alone. I've also opened or closed the business myself sometimes. At the day care center I talk, play, change diaper, prepare milk/food, help the baby nap and I the house tidy .My schedule changes from week to week and is part-time so I'm looking for a new full time job. My passion is work with babies I would like to very much find more work to take care of babies.
