Hello, my name is Melanie, and I’m a 22 year old recent graduate from San Jose State University, majoring in Social Science Teacher Prep! I have also worked at Lietz Elementary School in San Jose as an Extended Care Teacher for the last two and a half years of my four years at university. With that, I have experience managing my own classroom full of about 20-30 elementary aged kids (TK-5th grade), in which I was responsible for lesson planning STEAM activities, facilitating snacks and outdoor enrichment, as well as forming professional connections with both students and their parents/guardians.
