Diane goes above and beyond! We used Diane on our recent vacation in Napa for 3 evenings. Diane inquired prior to sitting about all my daughters interests and arrived with the cutest most age appropriate gifts (all with my approval), including homemade play dough in my daughter's favorite color. Diane was wonderful sitter, full of engaging ideas and activities. The best tribute - my daughter has been asking for her since we arrived home! I highly recommend this stand out sitter.

Diane is a great sitter. She has watched our 6-month son a few times from about 2-months on, and was the first person to watch him outside of family. She is very kind & considerate, with lots of experience caring for children. We would not hesitate to recommend her to anyone.

Diane cared for my son one Saturday night. At that time, he was 16 months old and had never been away from his parents for a full evening. We were nervous to leave and he picked up on that, yet Diane was a gentle, calming force for an experience that otherwise could have been traumatic for him. When we got home, our son was happy, relaxed and ready for bed, just as we'd hoped but hadn't expected, given it was his first time with a sitter. It was clear he'd enjoyed his evening with Diane and had been in the hands of a kind, caring person.

It is my great pleasure to recommend Diane DeVera as a nanny. Diane worked for my family from March – July 2012. She worked an average of 26 hours per week, and cared for my two children, ages 8 and 4 years. She cared for my daughter all day while I was away and my son after school until summer break, when she then cared for both children for the full 26 hours per week. Diane was always punctual, and therefore I was never late for my appointments or classes. She was incredibly reliable. She was also very experienced which made her stand out to me during my interviewing process right off the bat. Her background in childcare was certainly beneficial for my children and gave my husband and I a sense peace that she was a knowledgeable provider. I could focus on the tasks at hand and know that not only were my children safe, but they were also being introduced to educational instruction throughout the day. Diane knows how to structure time well, but is also flexible. The schedules, rules and household structure were always upheld with respect. She is a calm presence and never raises her voice or reprimands harshly. She is a clear and open communicator, and I knew that if there were any potential issues or concerns that she would be honest and speak to me about them right away, as to avoid additional problems in the future. Diane would happily sit and read to my kids, play soccer in the backyard, visit the bowling alley or throw a dance party in the living room… she was up for anything and everything my children threw at her and did it with gladness and joy. As my education progressed, the time in which I needed a nanny was reduced and the hours I was looking to employ a nanny were no longer a match to what Diane was seeking. We were very sad to have her go, but also were very blessed by the time we spent with her! I give my heartfelt recommendations to anyone considering hiring Diane. She is a true find. Diane is a great sitter. She has been like another grandma to our three kids. She is very dependable and excellent with kids. I highly recommend her to anyone. Wish we could take her with us to Okinawa :)
