Hello families! My name is Ellie and I would love to work with you! I started working with children when I was as young as 11 years old as a teacher's assistant at a local weekend school. There, I learned the skills of organization, timeliness, and how to entertain children across various ages! I worked at that company for 4.5 years until I took other jobs such as tutoring (English and piano), pet sitting (cats, dogs, hamsters, and fish), and more! About 2 years ago, I began working with an ABA therapy company in which I was given the pleasure of working with various children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder and learning amazing skills for interacting with children. Said skills include: dealing with the sometimes unavoidable meltdowns, staying calm in any and all situations, entertaining anyone of any age and any interests, and more! Working with children is something I've loved to do for years and I can't wait to continue expanding my love for children! Outside of working with children, I am also a full-time student at UC Davis! I'm studying pre medical psychology and have already received 3 associate degrees in psychology, human development, and social sciences. I also have a fair share of hobbies! I've been in musical theatre since I was 9, playing piano since I was 5, guitar since I was 14, singing since I was 6, dance since I was 13, and more! I also love learning about anything and everything! I would be a good fit for your child(ren) because I'm very adaptable and have a child-like imagination! I grew up as a very shy kid so I know how to talk to those who might be a little more in their bubble. I also am very extroverted now so I also know how to talk to those who love talking! I love playing pretend with costumes and toys; I will never get tired, it's impossible:) In terms of caring for your children, I am very adaptable and organized. I will take all of your needs and wants to make sure that you and your child(ren) are as comfortable as you can be. I can also cook, drive, change diapers, tutor, and more if needed. Additionally, I speak fluent English and Russian with intermediate/conversational Spanish! I'm also BCAT and CRLA certified!
