To whom it may concern : I have extensive experience working with children. As an assistant child care provider for my mom's in-home daycare for the past 11 years. In this role I helped to care for children of different ages and backgrounds and helped to maintain a fun and safe environment. This position is the main inspiration for my work with children. This past school year I have taught at an after school program at Pinedale elementary, here I have had to make lesson plans, complete homework and make a safe learning space for my students. In 2015, I also participated in the Careers with Children Regional Occupational Program (ROP). In this program, I taught children in third grade at Clovis Elementary for four days a week. In the future, I aspire to teach third grade and I am majoring in Liberal Arts and minoring in Child Psychology at Read more Clovis Community College. I also had the opportunity in 2012 to volunteer as a Junior Camp Counselor, the privilege to be a Camp Counselor the last two years, and to step into the Junior Leader Director position at the end of the summer of 2016 then actually be the Junior Leader Director in the summer of 2017 for the San Joaquin River Parkway & Conservation Trust . In the summer of 2014 I was an assistant softball coach for the U14 Clovis Rockets and in 2015 I coached the Clovis Elementary Varsity and U16 Clovis Rockets softball teams. Outdoor activities and sports are a big part of my life. My favorite activities are camping and fishing with my dad. I also enjoy hiking with my friends. I've also played year round travel softball for the last 13 years, played on the Reedley College softball team, swam on the Clovis Swim team and played water polo. I also love doing creative activities. I was in multiple art classes in high school and college and I have had art pieces chosen to be in art galleries. Additionally, I was the first chair clarinet for five years and took two years of drama class where I performed weekly in front my peers. I am a great problem solver. Because of my experience playing softball and being on many different sports teams in my life, I know what it takes to lead a team to victory.I am a very organized person and am experienced at scheduling and planning big projects under deadlines. Collectively, I feel that my extensive experience working with children, as well as my ability to problem solve and work well under Pressure. Sincerely, Karra Williams
