Why do I love being a sitter? I love being a sitter because I genuinely enjoy helping kids grow, learn, and have fun in safe and supportive environments. Whether it’s helping with homework, getting creative with arts and crafts, or just playing outside, I like making kids feel heard, supported, and happy. Every child is different, and I love being the kind of person who can connect with their personality and help them thrive. What experience do I have? I have over a year of paid childcare experience as a swim instructor, where I taught and supervised children ages 3–12. I’ve also volunteered in church settings, helping care for children during services and special events. These experiences taught me how to be patient, encouraging, and responsible in a variety of environments. I’ve also babysat younger family members and friends' kids, so I’m familiar with caring for different ages and personalities. Read more What skills and training do I have? My swim instruction background gave me a strong foundation in child safety, emergency awareness, and how to manage groups of kids calmly and confidently. I’m CPR/First Aid certified (trained through my previous job), and I’m comfortable with routines like snack prep, bedtime, and helping with homework. I’m also bilingual in English and Spanish, which can be a significant advantage for families who speak Spanish or want their children to learn the language. I’m dependable, flexible, and committed to making sure your kids are safe, cared for, and having a great time.
