Hi, I’m Tessa! I have experience caring for children of all ages and abilities, and I truly love what I do. I spent two years as a paraeducator in a special needs classroom, primarily supporting grades 3-6, though I also worked with younger students. I’ve cared for children of all abilities, including those with special needs and those without. My background includes working with children with Autism, Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, visual impairments, ADD/ADHD, and other sensory and cognitive disabilities. I’ve cared for a baby with Down syndrome, nannied for a child with extreme behavioral challenges, and worked with over 100 students, helping life skills students integrate into mainstream classes. For just under five years, I was a special needs/behavioral needs tutor and caretaker for a child aged 7-12. I’m currently a caregiver for a 17-year-old nonverbal autistic child, supporting his daily living skills and communication. Whether I’m working with Read more children with special needs or without, I’m passionate about encouraging creativity, building confidence, and helping kids grow in a fun, nurturing environment. I’m also Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED certified. I’d love the opportunity to support your family — please feel free to reach out with any questions!
