Hi there! Thank you for taking the time to read a bit about me. I am 38 and have been babysitting since I was 14 years old. I love working with children of all ages for many reasons. Their ability to make you laugh at the smallest things and how they appreciate and see the world, to name a few. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Theatre Education from Emerson College and through that learned the importance and incredible value of learning through play. I have a great amount of patience due to my work with special needs children. For more than 10 years I worked at a doctor's office in Boston, MA that specialized in Neurotherapy for children with learning disabilities, autism, ADD and other behavioral and cognitive disorders. I spent several years as a camp counselor at a Girl Scout camp in Massachusetts in my late teens and Read more early 20s. I am currently working as a nanny for 3 amazing children Monday through Friday but am looking for work to supplement that. Before that I worked in Healthcare for more than ten years. I believe that kindness is one of the most important virtues a child can learn from any adult. And that nurturing a child’s sensitive spirit is a job that has to be undertaken with gentle care and endless compassion. I love Harry Potter, cooking, cleaning, organizing, camping, making friendship bracelets, playing card games and finding the beauty in every day things. I have two nephews who I love and adore. I have a deep love for animals and have 4 rescue dogs. I am also available for pet sitting as well. I have my own car, am a non-smoker, have first aid and cpr training.
