As a single mom of two, I have always been passionate about taking care of others. From a young age, I have always been drawn to the idea of nurturing and supporting those around me, and as I have grown older, this has only become more central to my identity and my purpose in life. Throughout my career, I have worked in a variety of roles that have allowed me to put this passion into practice. I have been a teacher at various levels, from kindergarten to college, and I have found that there is no greater joy than seeing my students grow and develop under my guidance. Whether I am working with young children who are just beginning to discover the world around them, or with college students who are exploring complex ideas and concepts, I am always amazed by the capacity for growth and learning that we all Read more possess. But my caregiving extends beyond the classroom. I have also spent many years taking care of elderlies, both within my own family and as a professional caregiver for new clients who needed companionship, therapy, and other forms of support. In both contexts, I have found that there are certain qualities that are essential for anyone who wants to be a successful caregiver. I believe that empathy is the most important quality that a caregiver can have. To truly understand and support someone else, you need to be able to put yourself in their shoes, to feel what they are feeling, and to see the world from their perspective. This requires a deep level of emotional intelligence and a willingness to be vulnerable and to connect with others on a meaningful level. Patience and understanding are essential qualities for any caregiver. When you are working with people who are experiencing challenges or difficulties, it can be easy to become frustrated or overwhelmed. But by taking the time to listen, to be patient, and to truly understand what someone else is going through, you can build trust and establish a strong foundation for your caregiving relationship. I believe that flexibility and adaptability are key qualities for any caregiver. No two people are exactly the same, and no two situations are exactly alike. As a caregiver, you need to be able to adapt to changing circumstances, to be creative in your solutions, and to find ways to support your clients and patients no matter what challenges arise.

Trustline is California's official background check for license-exempt child care providers (i.e. babysitters and nannies) and the only authorized screening program in California with access to fingerprint records at the California Department of Justice and the Federal Bureau of Investigation and access to the California Child Abuse Central Index. The Trustline registry toll-free telephone number is 1-800-822-8490.

Pursuant to Section 1596.859 of the Health and Safety Code, parents have the right to receive information regarding any substantiated or inconclusive complaint about licensed child care providers. That information is public and can be acquired by visiting the California Department of Social Services' Internet Web site at "www.cdss.ca.gov".
