Hello Parents and Sitters! My name is Ms. Mattie, and I have been a music and dance teacher for the past eight years. Since 2015, I have been working as a piano teacher for young children through a music school in Hayward, CA, and since COVID-19 shutdowns in March, I have been very careful about quarantining and social distancing, and am very adamant that any family I work with is of the same mindset. Since March, I have been teaching music classes solely online out of my in-home studio, and also through an online learning platform called Outschool. I am looking for babysitting and nanny jobs for the time being, since education is very much up in the air depending on which state (or even county!) you live in. I very much miss making connections with kids and planning fun and educational activities for them to do during the day, Read more and would like to use my teacher skills to help keep kiddos productive through this difficult time. So many of my online students are bored and even a little blue right now, and I think this job would allow me to continue earning an income while using my skills, and if it is a good fit, I am open to continuing to work for a family after COVID ceases or not, depending on the situation. I currently have a Master's Degree in Music and am hoping to someday pursue a Ph.D!
