Bio Hello! My name is Maelani Horner and I am currently in the Teaching Credential Program at SJSU. I am the oldest of 3 siblings and 11 cousins, so I grew up looking after all the little ones in the family. Once I started high school, I began babysitting for family and friends. I also worked at the childcare at my church for 2 years and gained experience with infant to preschool aged children. In 2020, I started working as a Teacher’s Assistant at the SJSU Child Development Center and gained nearly 4 years of experience with children ages 4 months to 4 years. I love working with children and being apart of their development and learning as they grow. As a caretaker, it is so special to be able to witness their milestones and growth.
