Hello! My name is Melody. I am 18 and a full-time college student at my local community college. I am majoring in becoming a Nurse and hopefully landing a job as a Neonatal nurse or a Pediatric Nurse. I am the youngest of 2 brothers and the daughter of successful immigrant parents. I was born in Berkeley, California. I have traveled to multiple countries with my family as well as learned and experienced the different cultures I have seen. I speak English as well as Spanish fluently and love to teach kids Spanish and English. One of the main ways I have taught kids Spanish and English is by cooking! I usually cook cultural dishes and find ways to keep them engaged as well as learning while having fun. I am a very patient and energetic babysitter and take in small details that kids tend to tell me, like what Read more foods they like, who their favorite movie characters are, etc. I am very attentive as well as outgoing. I love to plan outdoor activities as well as activities that are educational in some way. Since I find joy in cooking and baking, I ensure that the kids are well-fed, work around picky eaters, and make sure they enjoy their nutritious meals. If the kids are going to school, I will try to build a routine for them as well as make sure that they are engaging in daily chores to set them up for success and become responsible and successful adolescents/adults in the near future.
