I have worked with children for the last 10 years, for a year at an elementary school, seven summers at summer camps, at a child care center and as a babysitter. I have experience with children who are as young as 3 months old, and as old as 12 years. In high school and college, I ran summer camps in the City of Davis and Santa Barbara. My responsibilities included traveling with the children (via bike bus car or foot), teaching the children games and activities, ensuring their safety throughout the day, maintaining communication with parents, and providing First Aid when needed. I love working with children, especially younger children who are eager to play and learn about themselves. I have experience helping kids of all ages with their homework and household responsibilities. I have also spent large amounts of time with children teaching them about sports, healthy living, and Read more arts and crafts. I am comfortable working with large groups of children of all ages, backgrounds and abilities. I additionally have had a year of teaching experience with students in San Francisco. I was positioned as a site coordinator for a literacy intervention program. I worked with struggling readers from 1st through 5th grade.
