Hello, I'm Alyssa and I am currently a student at IVC majoring in computer science. I have been babysitting on and off throughout my life. I first began in elementary school, helping care for my two younger cousins every summer. I also volunteered at a day care center on Fridays in high school. My freshman year at university, I tutored a high school student with Aspergers and babysat a toddler for fall semester. Recently, I was a nanny for a boy and girl, ages 4 and 7, picking them up from school, taking them to practices, and helping with light housework, homework, and small meal prep. I have extensive experience in the arts and with writing; I studied at Orange County School of the Arts for four years. I have a fair amount of cooking knowledge and I learn quickly. I've dabbled in Spanish and Italian, but I have been Read more studying French for two years. I love helping children grow through learning and having fun with them, but also making sure they understand the importance of things like homework. I'm a friendly, responsible, caring, positive, and hard-working girl. I was lucky enough to spend the 2013-14 school year studying abroad in England and was able to travel around Europe in that time. I was originally attending San Francisco State University, but in a decision to change my major, I have moved back to Orange County to pursue computer science. My degree is very demanding, which leaves me with weekends for availability. I would also be interested in babysitting for date nights. Thank you and I hope to hear from you!
