Hello! My name is Dawn and I am a mother of two and a first grade teacher. I love working with children of all ages and I’ve been caring for and teaching children for over 15 years. I have extensive training in early literacy, and teaching children how to read, including working with special needs students. I know that no two children are alike. I am patient, flexible and kind and believe in honoring each child for their individual personalities, gifts and talents. I enjoy seeing the world through a child's eyes. I was a hands-on, stay at home mom for 14 years before returning back to teaching. I enjoyed taking my own children to the park, zoo, library, enrichment classes, arts and crafts, story time, sports, and more. I am happy to do the same with another family as well! I am efficient and I know how to multi-task Read more and run a household. I have a daughter (art major) and a son (business major), who are currently in college. My interests include spending time with my family and friends, the outdoors, specifically hiking and the beach, going to the gym and baking.
