I've always loved working with children ever since I started babysitting at the age of 13. More recently, I've been a temporary nanny for a family with five children (ages ranging from 9 months to 12 years) whenever their parents go on a trip together. I would be in the house 24 hours a day for four days responsible for safety, meals, transportation to karate classes, bad dreams at night, mediating sibling squabbles, and a whole lot of fun. I have also been employed as a personal aide for a young boy with cerebral palsy at a summer day care for two years. During this time I facilitated safety and helped him be able to play with the other children, which was all he wanted to do. At my internship this past year, I worked with foster and adopted children leading child empowerment classes. These classes promoted teaching children the Read more power of their own voice through crafts, activities, and conversations. I’m CPR certified for infants and children. I've loved working with every one of these kids, and I'd love to work with yours.
