I’ve been working with children ever since I was a child myself. My mother has been a T-K teacher for as long as I can remember, and all through my adolescence and teen years I spent many of my days in her classroom working and interacting with young children. I learned not only how to relate to children, but how to analyze them in terms of behavior and personality. My mother, being a specialist in childhood development, has constantly taught me just how important it is to positively influence a child’s life through every interaction. I’ve also been a performer at Legoland California for almost 9 years of my life. The entire point of my job is to entertain and make sure that each child creates memorable experiences that will last. It is so important to me to truly value each child and their intellect. When I was in high Read more school, I used to babysit my younger cousins. The youngest of the two sisters has Autism and I cannot even begin to express the gratification I felt in watching her slowly but surely come to trust me. I believe that each child is full of possibilites and should never be limited by what society deems they can or cannot accomplish. In terms of certifications, I am on my way to being CPR certified through the American Red Cross. Although I am not formally trained and/or educated in childhood development, I believe that my experience and personality are worth consideration. I love to perform and am well rehearsed in vocal studies, piano, and tap. I love to encourage children to partake in the arts and any impression I could leave on children to stay creative is well worth it. I am willing to work with the children on any of their extra-curricular activities, or anything they enjoy just for fun.
