With 17 years of childcare experience, I’ve worked with children of all ages ranging from infants to high school students in both personal and professional settings. I’m a licensed substitute teacher and have experience supporting moderately to severely disabled students, which has strengthened my patience, adaptability, and ability to care for children with diverse needs and personalities. For 11 years, I worked with Premier Healthcare providing respite care for a high-spirited, non-ambulatory young woman with severe disabilities who is now transitioning into a 24-hour care facility. In this role, I assisted with daily routines, bathing, diapering, meal prep, personal care, engagement activities, emotional support, and creating a safe, compassionate environment tailored to her unique needs. I also worked for In-Home Supportive Services (IHSS) for 10 years, providing childcare support for two school-aged children from elementary school through high school.
