Whenever I am questioned about my babysitting experience, I explain about the months that I cared for two-week-old triplets. I was only thirteen years old when I was put in charge of three newborns, but I knew then that I had the heart to serve and aide in the upbringing of children. I have babysat for newborns, infants, toddlers, pre-teens, and adolescents. Many babysitters have a preferable age to care for, but I do not. There is something unique about every age group. Almost fourteen years later and my heart still desires to help others. I believe that my compassionate nature bloomed at a young age, because of my upbringing. Although I was born and raised in the city of Los Angeles, that did not prevent me from owning and raising animals. My family has owned horses, dogs, cats, chickens, rabbits, goats, tortoises, and a duck. I was responsible for Read more feeding, grooming, and nurturing these animals. As well, my neighbors owned four goats, two cows, one bull, one lama, and one pot belly pig. Whenever my neighbors would go out of town, they asked me to care for their animals. It was a treat to watch after such a wide array of livestock. With the pleasure of owning such beautiful creatures, there is an equally important lesson on responsibility. I have become a more reliable and consistent individual because of my animals. I have met and worked for five different families through this site (ages ranging from infant to middle school). I appreciate that this site provides a safe and secure meeting ground for families and babysitters. Along with babysitting, I have coached girls volleyball for Pacific Lutheran High School and girls basketball for Gardena Valley Christian (middle school level). I am currently the Frosh/Soph girls volleyball coach at Peninsula High School. Going from watching a child in the morning to coaching pre-teen and teenage girls in the afternoon provides me with a more rounded experience with humanity. Due to my extended experience working with children, I know that is more than fun and games. I would immediately begin adding value to your team, because I am committed and communicative. Communication is key to a fluid and cohesive work environment, and I am confident in my abilities to express what needs to be done.
