Qualifications: 7+ Years of Childcare Experience Toddlers Through the Age of 13 Years Old Experience Child Psychology Course Completed at Texas Tech University 2 Years as a Camp Counselor at Camp Peniel in Texas CPR, First Aid, Wilderness Aid Certified Experienced in Outdoor Activities Pre-Med/Nursing Major I am planning on staying in Los Angeles for 5+ years and I would like to get back to doing what I love and what I am passionate about, which is nannying. I grew up with four younger brothers and I was the oldest in the family of ten cousins, so it’s safe to say there was never a dull moment in the house and I was always the go to nanny for my family. I was always considered the fun aunt, and I loved creating projects and going on adventures with all the kids. I am super active and believe in keeping the Read more kids active and stimulated, and my comedy background always keeps it light hearted and fun. My background in Pre-Med will help ensure the safety of the kids and help put the parent’s minds at ease. CHILDCARE EXPERIENCE: 2008-2012 Denver, Co and Lubbock, TX Throughout University, I babysat for many different families. I did not have a full time nannying job, because I was taking 21 credits pursuing Pre-Med, running cross country, and I was a Resident Assistant. During the weekends or sometimes during the week, I would babysit kids ages 4-13 years old. I would take them to the pool, playground, biking, hiking, or we would stay at home and do crafts or bake cookies and cakes for the parents. I am a firm believer in being active and being creative so we rarely watched a movie before they went to bed. I performed light housekeeping and made dinners for the families. On most occasions I would put the kids to bed and would prepare their school attire, backpacks, and school lunches. I babysat kids all throughout my 4 years of college. 2004-2007 Austin, TX In High School, I babysat for different families in my church or in my neighborhood. The ages range from 4-13 years old. I would just play with them at their home, build forts, play with blocks, crafts, slip and slid in the backyard, play fun board games, and assist with putting them to bed. I also performed light housekeeping. Summers of 2005-2007 Austin, TX Camp Counselor at Camp Peniel for Two Summers I was a camp counselor of a group of 20, 8-12 year old girls. Took them rock climbing, swimming, arts and crafts, soccer, canoeing, camping, zip-lining, and tubing.
