Hey! To keep this hopefully short, as there are probably hundreds of profiles, here is a little about me. I'm an energetic, active, organized, multitasking, well rounded, understanding, and caring person. I've had over 15 years of paid experience with kids including : -at this point probably over a hundred(yes, really) babysitting jobs, some of which I have lasting relationships with the families to this day. -Lead pre- school teacher at a private pre-school for one year -Developed an after school program at a private preschool/daycare for children ages 5-11 -Worked at a daycare in Breckenridge, Colorado for a ski season -camp counselor at Camp All American for two years -Interned at a camp for children with special needs/ learning disabilities - numerous volunteer positions including but not limited to working in my church nursery for several years, volunteering at an aftercare program for abused and underprivileged children while I was in Read more school, and working with kids on a mission trip. -I've held five full time summer nanny jobs - I've held several full time nanny jobs, some of which were - Ive had lots of experience with multiples (twins specifically) I am well versed in knowing how to not only care for children of all ages, but to entertain them and keep them occupied. I love being active outside, coming up with art projects for children to do, exploring, baking, playing games, and finding ways to let children engage with their surroundings. I'm also accustomed to busy environments as I’ve nannied for a family with six kids, one with 4 children under the age of 4 including a set of identical twin infant boys, and numerous other busy families some of which had strict schedules. I believe in my tried and true theory that lots of issues/ problems can be avoided and or/solved if you truly listen to the child. Most of the time, children are acting out because a need isn't being met. By listening, I've been able to stop numerous tantrums from escalating into an unnecessary situation . I aim to see the unique strengths of each child and adjust my approach according to various personalities. I know how to provide boundaries for children while also creating an environment where each individual child's needs are met in a loving and supportive way. Overall, I love what I do and I truly get enjoyment out of being a part of children' lives. Also, I do have more references if you would like more!
